The Villa Boréale

Christine Mitchell Adams March 07, 2016

When we spotted this contemporary ski chalet designed by CARGO Architects, we couldn't help but daydream our way into it. The Villa Boréale sits happily on a slop near the ski center Le Massif in Charlevoix, an eastern region of the Quebec Province well known woods, ski mountains and thick forests. This chalet feels right at home in its surroundings. The architect was inspired by Scandinavian architecture and materials, as evidenced in the completed design. The home resembles a modern barn with clean lines and minimal aesthetic. The chairlift seats by the front door add a clever touch.
