32 Degrees: The Art of Winter

Christine Mitchell Adams March 01, 2016

This weekend we visited our local Shelburne Museum in Shelburne, VT for their new exhibit, 32 Degrees: The Art of Winter. There's something to be said about tapping into your community's art scene, and we try to do it as often as we can. The Shelburne Museum did an incredible job curating an exhibit of artwork that truly embodies the enchanting, invigorating, and often infuriating experience of the New England winter. We've included some of our favorites here, from the breathtaking to the surreal.

Lisa Lebofsky, Calving Glacier, 2012. Oil on aluminum, 40 x 25 in.

Walter Martin and Paloma Muñoz, Traveler 290, 2012. Mixed media, 9 x 6 x 6 inches.

Sonja Hinrichsen, Snow Drawings - Briancon, France, 2014. Archival digital photo print.
