    • Gently massage a nickel-sized dab into damp skin and rinse. Use 2-3 times a week, or as desired. Avoid eye area.

    A: Green Slate Mineral Polish is a powerful exfoliating treatment that is designed to smooth skin’s appearance for your other skincare and makeup. That said, 88% of people who tried Green Slate in a consumer test agreed that their skin didn’t feel stripped after use, and 95% agreed their skin felt intact.


    Ultimately, you know your skin best. If you’re concerned about how your skin will tolerate Green Slate, we recommend trying it out on your neck or arm before using it on your face and limiting use to once a week. If you experience irritation or redness from any exfoliant, we recommend you discontinue use until that has subsided.


    Q:  What skin type is this suitable for?
    A: Green Slate Mineral Polish is appropriate for all skin types, especially congested or oily skin. 


    Q: Does this product remove makeup?
    A: This formula is optimized for exfoliation. We recommend one of our other cleansers (Fantastic Face Wash, Making Moves Milky Cleanser, or our Essential Face Wipes) if your main concern is removing makeup.


    Q: Will Green Slate Mineral Polish cause micro-tears?
    A: There’s currently no reliable way to evaluate whether a product causes micro-tears on the skin, but it’s true that any exfoliator (physical or chemical) can irritate the skin when used too frequently. We recommend using Green Slate Mineral Polish 1-2 times a week at first and polishing lightly to start. We don’t recommend using the product more than three times a week.


    Q: Is this product pregnancy safe?
    A: Green Slate Mineral Polish contains a small amount of natural salicylates from the Wintergreen and Willow Bark. Some doctors recommend against those during pregnancy. This is a wash-off product, so risk is lower, but we always recommend checking with your doctor before incorporating a new product.


    Q: What is the aroma?
    A: An invigorating, tree-topped scent of Fir and Cypress, with herbal notes of Ginger and Lavender.

      Who knew?

      Dear Ursa Major:

      I live in the Deep South in the USA. I am extremely allergic to poison oak, ivy, and sumac. I am also a gardener. I also seem to be a poison oak magnet and get severe rashes from those plants.

      This year, I tried the usual soaps, creams, calamine lotion, etc., etc.

      For Christmas this year , I received a gift of your Green Slate Mineral Polish. When the thick poison oak rash broke out this year, I decided to give it a go. Nothing to lose.

      Within an hour, the swelling and weeping was markedly decreased. And the itch subsided also.

      After a few uses, it’s starting to dry out! Yay! I’ll keep using this stuff to treat these poisonous plant rashes. It really soothes the skin.
