FAQs

Is this product antibacterial?

No, Botanic Buzz Hand Wash is not antibacterial. To make that claim, products must include specific antibacterial ingredients that we chose not to formulate with. The good news: regular soap and water are just as effective at washing away dirt and bacteria (source: FDA).

Is this product gluten, soy, or nut-free?

Botanic Buzz Hand Wash is formulated without gluten, soy, or nuts (except for coconut). However, it is manufactured in a facility that also processes these ingredients, so we cannot guarantee that cross-contamination has not occurred.

Is this product safe for sensitive skin?

While not clinically tested on sensitive skin, we have designed our products to work for a variety of skin types and have heard awesome feedback from folks with more sensitive or reactive skin. Of course, if your skin happens to be extra-sensitive, we recommend that you try patch testing on the inner wrist before applying for extra precaution.

Is this product pregnancy-safe?

Botanic Buzz Hand Wash does not contain any ingredients that are commonly avoided during pregnancy, such as vitamin A or high doses of salicylic acid (+2%). That said, we always recommend checking in with your healthcare provider about ingredient lists and any new products during pregnancy.

Can kids use this hand wash?

Absolutely! Botanic Buzz Hand Wash is suitable for all ages. That said, if you know your child has more sensitive skin, we recommend patch testing first and consulting your child’s pediatrician before use.

Can I use this product on my face?

This is a gentle cleanser formulated for hands, and as such, its pH range is a little above what you’d want to use on your face. If you’re looking for a facial cleanser, we suggest giving our Fantastic Face Wash or Making Moves Milky Cleanser a try.

What is the pH level?

While many traditional hand soaps fall in the 8-10 pH range, Botanic Buzz Hand Wash is formulated at a more skin-friendly 5.75-6.15.

Does this product contain fragrance?

What if I don’t love it?

We totally understand that skincare is not one-size-fits-all and that everyone’s skin is unique. If you are not satisfied with your Ursa Major products, you may return your product for a full refund or store credit within 30 days of receiving your order.

We happily offer free standard shipping via DHL/USPS for all domestic orders $40+ placed on our website. Orders below $40 will ship via DHL/USPS for a flat $7 fee.
