Q: How does the Golden Hour Dry Oil differ from the Golden Hour Body Serum and Golden Hour Body Butter?
A: Our Golden Hour Dry Oil provides quick nourishment for both body and hair, offering a lightweight, fast-absorbing experience. In comparison, our Body Butter is the ultimate moisture-locker, both cushiony and deeply conditioning, with a rich (but lightweight!) afterfeel. Additionally, our Body Serum is more of a targeted skincare for the body–providing a luxe feel with a boost of active ingredients to support a smooth and toned appearance.
Q: What is a “dry oil”? Will it leave any residue on clothing?
A: It’s a fast-absorbing oil that leaves your skin soft and smooth without that greasy or sticky feel. It sinks in quickly, so it shouldn’t leave residue when applied as directed. Allow a brief moment to fully absorb before putting on your clothes.
Q: Is the oil meant to be layered or used on its own?
A: The dry oil is great solo and is effective on its own, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t play well with the others. It can be layered with the serum or butter when your skin needs an extra boost–there’s no strict regimen! Mix and match based on what your skin needs.
Q: Can I use this product throughout my hair, or just on the ends?
A: You can use the product throughout your hair. We recommend starting with the ends and working up if needed, especially if your hair is fine or prone to buildup.
Q: Can I use this product on my face?
A: Our Dry Oil was inspired by our current Golden Hour Moisturizer, and even though it is lightweight and fast-absorbing, it was formulated for the body with rich elements in mind. Facial skin is more delicate and sensitive, and may not tolerate these oil blends as well as the rest of the body.
Q: Is the oil for sensitive or reactive skin?
A: We created the Golden Hour Dry Oil with sensitive skin in mind, but since it includes ingredients like essential oils, we always suggest patch testing first just to be safe, especially if your skin is prone to reactions.

A: While we haven’t completed formal color-retention testing, this formula was designed with nourishing oils and without harsh stripping agents, so it’s gentle on hair and skin!
