A: Our Golden Hour Body Serum is a targeted skincare product for the body, providing a luxe feel with a boost of active ingredients to support a smooth and toned appearance. In comparison, our Dry Oil provides quick nourishment for both body and hair, offering a lightweight, fast-absorbing experience. Additionally, our Body Butter is the ultimate moisture-locker, both cushiony and deeply conditioning, with a rich (but lightweight!) afterfeel.


Q: Can I use this product on my face?

A: Technically you could, but this formula was designed specifically for the body, so it’s intentionally more rich, substantial, and deeply moisturizing. If you’re looking for something similar that would be more appropriate to use on your face, we recommend Mountain Glow Serum!


Q: Is the serum meant to be layered or used on its own?

A: The serum is great solo and is effective on its own, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t play well with the others. It can be layered with the oil or butter when your skin needs an extra boost–there’s no strict regimen! Mix and match based on what your skin needs.


Q: Is the serum safe for sensitive or reactive skin?

A: We created the Golden Hour Body Serum with sensitive skin in mind, but since it includes ingredients like essential oils, we always suggest patch testing first, just to be safe, especially if your skin is prone to reactions.


Q: Can this serum be used after shaving or waxing?

A: It can be used after shaving or waxing, but we suggest applying it once any redness or sensitivity has subsided–typically after a few minutes. If your skin is highly sensitive, patch testing is always recommended.


Q: How often should I apply for best results? Can I use the serum daily?

A: Apply daily and generously to damp or dry skin, massaging until fully absorbed. Use AM or PM.


Q: Is the serum pregnancy safe?

    Love It!

    Of course I absolutely love the new Golden Hour Body Serum, the Golden Hour Recovery cream and the Golden Hour Serum are probably my very favorite Ursa Major products. I have tried many of the face and body creams at Ursa major but I continue to come back to my favorites over and over. This new body serum is light, effective, non greasy, and smells divine, I simply love it.

    Just enough in every way

    I live in Houston. Hot, humid summers last well into November. This Serum is a great moisturizer for these conditions. It absorbs into my skin and doesn't melt off when I step outside. Perfect scent. Texture is light and not greasy.

    Loving it!

    Ursa Major is now my body serum! I was skeptical at first but after the first use I fell in love with it. Ursa major body butter and serum absorbs quickly into my skin and leaves it feeling soft smooth and moisturized. Love it!

    Incredible stuff

    46 year old crepey skin gone. Thankful I’ve finally found something that works after a long search. I didn’t find it sticky like other reviewers. I was nervous after reading that, but I thought I’d give it a try and I was happily surprised.
