    How does this and Fantastic Face Wash differ?  

    Fantastic Face Wash is our daily cleansing gel that lathers up without sulfates to thoroughly cleanse without stripping moisture or disrupting pH.

    Essential Face Tonic is our all-in-one liquid elixir that soothes and balances skin while gently deep-cleansing pores. We like to think of it as a multitasking post-cleanse step that preps your skin for additional skincare (serums, moisturizers, etc.) and supports a clearer, brighter complexion with regular use.

    How and when do I use this product?  

    Use after cleansing (or alone as a gentle, rinse-free cleanser) to reset and balance skin. Apply by soaking a cotton round and swiping onto skin, or dispense a little amount into your hands and apply “neat.”

    Is this product exfoliating?  

    Our face tonic contains a gentle, exfoliating AHA/BHA complex to reveal smoother, clearer skin. The salicylic acid (a type of BHA) is derived from Willow Bark Extract and the glycolic acid (a type of AHA) is derived from ingredients like Lemon, Sugarcane, and Sugar Maple.

    Is this safe for sensitive skin?  

    While not clinically tested on sensitive skin, we have designed our products to work for a variety of skin types and have heard awesome feedback from folks with more sensitive or reactive skin. Of course, if your skin happens to be extra-sensitive, we recommend that you try patch testing on the inner wrist before applying to the full face for extra precaution.

    Is this product pregnancy safe?  

    Essential Face Tonic does contain a small amount of natural salicylic acid (a type of BHA) from Willow Bark. While salicylic acid is an ingredient typically avoided during pregnancy, it is included in this product at a very low amount (less than 0.5%).

    That said, we always recommend checking in with your healthcare provider about ingredient lists and any new products during pregnancy.

    Does this contain fragrance?  

    Our Essential Face Tonic has a fresh, herbal aroma that comes entirely from real plant extracts—zero synthetic fragrances.

    What if I don’t love it?  

    We totally understand that skincare is not one-size-fits-all and that everyone’s skin is unique. If you are not satisfied with your Ursa Major products, you may return your product for a full refund or store credit within 30 days of receiving your order.

    Do you offer free shipping?  

    We happily offer free standard shipping via DHL/USPS for all domestic orders $40+ placed on our website. Orders below $40 will ship via DHL/USPS for a flat $7 fee. 

    How do I start a return?

      I love the product but i saved my old spray bottle you used to sell and poured the new tonic into that … i much prefer to spray it on ….Have you done away with that option???

      Hi Susan! As part of our repackaging project, we did make the tough decision to say goodbye to the spray bottle (unfortunately it used more plastic and wasn't popular enough to justify the extra material 😞). Of course, we definitely will keep this feedback in mind for future designs and love that you're able to use your remaining spray bottle to keep up with your preferred application method!

      Essential Face Tonic - LOVE the Product, HATE the New Packaging

      I have used & loved this product for many years. However, the new size & packaging is horrific! I usually bought the flip top option which was 8 ounces, or if not available, the pump option which was 6.7 ounces. Both options were the same price. The flip top has been my first choice since the pump hasn't always worked well. Now, the bottle is only 4 ounces for the same, or basically, the same price! I cannot fathom why a product that is the consistency of water, as opposed to a thicker serum, & that is used twice daily is in such a small bottle? Now I will have to buy it twice as often & pay the same price as the much larger bottle. It upsets me twice a day, so thank you very much for that! I actually feel deceived & am very unhappy. Also, you have to shake the bottle to get the product out instead of just gently pouring it, which is also annoying.
